The Hong Kong Museum of Art has been serving the public for 55 years since its opening at the City Hall High Block in 1962. It was later relocated to Tsim Sha Tsui. Over the years, the Museum has actively promoted art in Hong Kong. As the curators worked devotedly in their roles, they have witnessed countless unforgettable events. Therefore, we constructed a thematic website which is packed with selected stories written by curatorial teams of the Museum based on research and interviews. These stories weave together the intriguing history of the museum.
In addition, we also invited artists Amy Cheung, Ng Tsz-kwan and Annie Wan to create an interactive artwork by consolidating and re-interpreting the stories of the Museum's curators with WebGL technology which takes us on a journey to a variety of magical realms.
Are you ready to take a walk down memory lane? Let's check them out now!
